Through the generosity of our supporters we have been able to raise a significant amount of money to fund the campaign so far.  The planning team at Blake Lapthorn have made a 32 point technical submission on our behalf and will be representing us at the planning committee meeting on 7th April.  They have also provided technical advice and support throughout the last nine months since the application was submitted.  We have also produced a number of leaflets and flyers, all widely distributed, along with other campaign material.  None of this would have been possible without these funds.  The generosity already shown has been fabulous and demonstrates how strongly members of our community feel about the impact a large supermarket would have on our high street and local environment.

If, as seems likely, April 7th does not see the end of this planning application, we will urgently need to seek further funds in order to continue the campaign with the necessary technical support and promotion.

Nick Dillow, a local chartered accountant, is BWAG's treasurer. All funds are held in a bank account with Barclays Bank in Bishops Waltham. Four committee members are signatories to that account and everything to do with the account has to be authorised by two people.
